The Maken Group specializes in negotiating complex transactions. The firm understands the delicacy required to both consummate transactions that are equitable for all parties and to balance the political aspects, such as zoning and other unforeseen factors that often hinder business transactions. Besides sales and marketing of multi-million dollar properties, The Maken Group is well acquainted with the nuances of the commercial real estate market, the confidentiality the transaction requires and the needs of our clients. In addition to marketing, The Maken Group also specializes in development. The firm can assist clients develop any type of property and can also identify vacant land for retail, residential, and commercial development.
The Maken Group, Inc. was founded by Mr. Sonny Maken, CCIM. Sonny serves as the President and the Broker of Record for the firm. Sonny graduated from Georgetown University in Washington DC with a degree in International Economics and a concentration in International Finance and Commerce.
Sonny is also a CCIM. The CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation is considered the most prestigious of all Real Estate designations. Often referred to as the PhD of Commercial Real Estate, a practitioner must not only demonstrate educational mastery but also a depth of real world commercial real estate experience and expertise. Only 6% of all Commercial Real Estate practitioners in the US are CCIM's.
In addition to being a CCIM, Sonny was the 2009 President of the Realtors Commercial Alliance (RCA) of Greater Fort Lauderdale, and is currently serving on the Board of Directors of the RCA and the Florida Association of Realtors. Sonny is also a member of the Georgetown Club of Palm Beach and also serves on the Georgetown Alumni Interview Panel. Known for his expertise in Hospitality and Commercial brokerage, Sonny is frequently quoted in the Palm Beach Post and the South Florida Sun Sentinel newspapers. His articles have also been published in Building Florida Magazine. Sonny has been featured in various editions of Marquis Who's Who.
In 2009, Sonny was honored by the South Florida Business Journal as one of the Top 40 Under 40 business leaders in South Florida.
In addition, Sonny was named by Real Estate Florida Magazine Top 40 Under 40 Commercial Real Estate Stars in Florida.

Mani Maken has over 30 years of experience as a successful businessman. He has successfully run and owned several multi-million dollar businesses. This experience allows him to understand the needs of the clients and to appreciate the constraints that his clients often have to operate under. He has the skills and experience necessary to bring together buyers and sellers from all over the world and to put together highly sophisticated deals on a global scale. Our client list includes owners, developers, and builders from Europe, Asia and South America. This track record allows us to introduce the right parties to each other to accomplish successful ventures.
